He had everything; a family, a great home, a dashing personality – all lost in a “New York minute”. A simple NYPD detective then became the worst nightmare of many; crime lords, drug junkies, street mobsters, in short, everyone that had even a slightest connection with that “New York minute”. Only one thing in his mind (i.e. vengeance), he was out there in streets with nothing to lose. His name was Max Payne.
The game was, and is, one of the best in third person shooter games. With excellent story, awesome gameplay, and stunning sound, the game was BAFTA’s (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) best PC game of the year 2001. The coolest thing about it was its “bullet time” feature. With it you can slow down time to dodge bullets but you can aim your gun pointer in real time to have an edge over enemies. Your job is simple; kill everyone that comes in your way. But be wise, watch your steps, and go find the murderers of your family.
The basic package in your arsenal. Good for street junkies and posers (who think that having a gun in their hand make them tough guys). Dual berettas can do much better than a single one.
Simple, but very effective. Can easily take out from posers to some real tough guys.
PUMP ACTION SHOTGUN:
When you need some heavy firepower, you need pump action shotgun. Be close and accurate, and one bullet can do wonders for you. Very effective to deal with multiple enemies.
Sister of pump action, this baby is a little bit faster but needs reloading after every two shots. But generally that’s not an issue cuz Max knows how to deal with it. Anyhow, I prefer pump action over sawed-off.
This one is a juggernaut in Max’s armory. Very fast and very effective. But it is a precious resource so use it when you are in some serious trouble.
Looks pretty cool when you use it, but its ammo depletes very quickly. When Max has two ingrams (in his both hands), he can be a nightmare. Very useful when you are surrounded by multiple bad guys.
A kind of automatic rifle, this baby is good for some real tough guys. You will use it mostly in PART III.
Strong, accurate, and very deadly package to deal with long range targets. Adjust, aim, and bang. One shot, one kill. And good thing is no one gets an idea where that came from (if you are firing from a distance).
Deal with enemies within an instant. Grenades take some time to explode, so your enemies will try to run or get some cover. So timing is must, as well as your aim. Can get you killed too (or hurt) if you are in its range. So be wise.
Are you really angry? Use molotovs to let your enemies burn in the fire of your anger. But deal with care, cuz wrong aim can backfire.
