If you are looking for a headset that can produce true 5.1 surround sound, you are looking for Earforce Z6A by Turtle Beach Systems.

Performance

The Earforce Z6A comes with eight-speaker system which makes it one of the few headsets that can create 5.1 surround sound. This includes two front channel speakers, two surround channel speakers, two center channel speakers, and two subwoofers. With its Z6A amplifier, you can adjust all 5.1 audio channels, thus enabling you to tune your headset for any situation.

Though the headset is designed for PC, you can also use it with your Xbox 360 if you decide to purchase the cable kit too.

Here are the technical specs of Turtle Beach Earforce Z6A.

Comfort

Generally, the Z6A headset complies well with Turtle Beach’s slogan “you'll hardly know they're on” (it can vary from person to person though). Though a bit heavier, the soft-padded headband and ear cups give you a comfortable wear.

Unfortunately, the biggest issue with Z6A is its durability. I wish Turtle Beach would have spent some more time in ensuring that the headphones do not back out after couple of months usage. But as Turtle Beach provides a year warranty, the problem can be rectified. But still, it feels quite annoying if you have to call customer care after every two months.

Price Tag

With a $100 price tag, Earforce Z6A is a comfortable headset with solid performance. If only they were a bit more reliable, then I could say with confidence that they are definitely the “one” to get. Still, they are an excellent choice if you can manage to keep them faithful.
